Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux - Gilbert

The front staff was great. I ordered fried catfish, fried jumbo shrimp and side order of beans and rice to go. I was given catfish atchafala instead of just fried catfish. The crayfish tails and toast were missing from the dish, so I was given an extra waffle fry. The waffle fries were super salty and crunchy. The jumbo shrimp and red beans with rice were cooked well and tasted flavorful. My pictures do not match the photos on the website. The hush puppies were close to black color, very greasy, but had flavor. I don't know what else to say, but I'm probably not going back.

The food was really good. I have never been to Louisiana so I am probably not going to have the best opinion on some of the food items. I got the boom boom shrimp tacos and a side of Gumbo. The taco for me need some type of sauce.. I'm a sauce eater so I wish it came with something. The gumbo was amazing... I loved it the most! It was seasoned perfectly and had a perfect mix of spice. My husband got the Louisiana Platter and to Start he immediately asked to sub the hush puppies but there was no substitution. He doesn't like hush puppies but he loved the hush puppies here he was blown away by the sweet taste it gives. The catfish was well seasoned and the shrimp was nice jumbo sized and they were delicious. The crawfish ettofee was our least favorite. It was too salty and had a weird taste could be a one off I also didn't care for the thickness of it reminded me of claim chowder and I am a texture eater so it's not my something I would prefer to eat. All in all the temperature off the food was perfect the speed- our food was out in what felt like 20 mins piping hot 🔥 High west smash was very good I squeezed in my lemon and added cherries and it made it very delicious The service Our waitress was Crystal- She gave us great service and she was very personable and gave great suggestions. Atmosphere It's is very chill and there is plenty of TVs to watch the games All said we will be back and I definitely recommend this place. 💋

Came here for lunch and had a great meal! Had the Boom boom Shrimp Poboy and was delighted. Lots of shrimp and great flavor on the sandwich. Waffle fries were also well seasoned and crispy. Server was great, prompt, and checked in with us to make sure everything was good. Definitely a good place to grab food or sit a while and watch a game.

The Louisiana flair with crayfish etoufee, spectacular fried catfish, blackened reddish and voodoo shrimp (fried shrimp with cream cheese, jalapenos wrapped inbacon -so good!)and grits as just a few of their menu options as well as good old ginormous burgers will have me and my family coming back again and again! oh! and try the fried alligator or fried dill pickle chips as an appetizer! yum!

I've been to Walk-Ons 3 times so far, and it was a great experience! The staff was friendly, the food was amazing, and the atmosphere was comfortable. The Fried Pickles, Hush Puppies, Beignets, Waffle Cheese Fries, Jalapeño Jack Burger, and Shrimp Po-Boy were all delicious!!! 10/10! The quality of the food was consistently amazing. The service was attentive and prompt, and the restaurant is family-friendly. I highly recommend Walk-Ons for fantastic food, great service, and a relaxed atmosphere. Their restaurant is very spacious and was never busy when I went. I got a table right away, and the food came out quickly.

My mom loves Shrimp Poboys so when this place opened we had to try! We ordered the fried pickles with ranch and their special sauce (DEFINITELY get the special sauce), I got the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich which was hard to eat with the double chicken so I took one off and ate it without the bun (still so delicious!), and my mom got the Shrimp Poboy. We enjoyed our meal! We also got the beignets, but we’re too good and didn’t have time to take a picture! It’s a great place for lunch or to watch the game. Kid friendly with the games they have walking from the hostess station to the main dining room. (I would not think it’s ideal during a busy dinner rush) We went back a second time and got this delicious steak sandwich! A must!!

I came by myself, just wanted to eat and watch the game. I'd love to write a review about the food but i never got a menu. I'm not one to speak up, and I like attentive service. I sat down at the bar (it was filthy still) and neither of the bartenders seemed to acknowledge that I was there? They weren't busy either, so already it felt awkward. Was I supposed to yell at them to get me a menu? Feels rude. So I waited for another couple of minutes and got up and left. Never coming back.

I love southern food and it’s not easy to find, here in the desert southwest. We have visited Walk-On’s twice in the last two weeks. My husband and I shared the red beans and rice and the Boom Boom Shrimp PoBoy with waffle fries. Yesterday we had the Adult Grilled Cheese with onion rings. My dad had the catfish and thought it was quite tasty. I love all the food but the waffle fries. No one at our table cared for the fries. We’ll definitely be back there, soon, and we’ll just be sure to sub the waffle fries for something else. My husband and I agree that the pricing is good and the portions are large. I had a Tito’s Vodka drink, during non-hour times, and it was only $7. Added note: the staff is very friendly!
